if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

If there has ever been a time when our 'land' needs healing...this is the time.
Our message this morning, caused me to think..and dig in the Scriptures. (I love when that happens)
In my study Bible this is a wonderful simple explanation of 2 Chr. 7:14, it says: If God's people would do three things, God would respond in three ways. The Lord's people needed to become HUMBLE, that is confess: they needed to PRAY, or repent: and they needed to turn, or come back to Him. If they did, God would HEAR, FORGIVE and HEAL them.
How is it, that we have gotten so far away from our Creator?
Please ... let's ask our own selves this question. Surely our answers would be similar.
Much like the children of Israel's answer would be.
And they rejected His statutes and His covenant that He had made with their fathers, and His testimonies which He had testified against them: they followed idols, became idolaters, and went after the nations who were all around them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them that they should not do like them.
2 Kings 17:15
